Ellensburg Saddle Company has been owned by Tink & Julie Baugher for over 20 years now….it’s a family owned business located in the beautiful, BUT VERY WINDY Kittitas Valley.  The shop is located in a building that Jerry Anderson owned and operated many years ago named Roper’s Supply.

Tink grew up on a 250,000 acre plus ranch on Wyoming Colorado border….he has used the equipment he builds and knows how things need to be put together, he is a real cowboy. Tink hired on at The Boardwalk in Laramie, Wy…that is where he learned how to build saddles and custom harness…..he’s been building them ever since……

Julie grew up on the coast of Washington, a “coastie”, but that’s okay, we’ll forgive her this time! Saddlemaking was a choice she made when the University life wasn’t enough…building chaps for some of the people she hung out with gave her a taste of leatherwork, she then attended Spokane Falls Community College and learned the art from Jesse Smith, a master saddlemaker in his own right.

Tink & Julie’s 2 kids have grown up in the saddle shop, Carson the oldest and Callie the youngest…..and let’s not forget the 2 wiener dogs, Pork chop the oldest and Hoda the youngest!
